Carabella 2010 Pinot Noir, Estate
Essential Northwest Wine Report Card
2010 Pinot Noir, Estate
Carabella Vineyard is a great example of an artisan Oregon winery producing excellent wines, vintage after vintage, without much ballyhoo and press. Which is too bad because Mike and Cara Hallock have been dedicated growers and winemakers who have grown their winery into being a top-notch producer.
This 2010 Estate-grown pinot noir shows well the character of the Chehalem Mountains appellation. It offers full, dark fruitiness, whiffs of earth and minerality, and a silky texture that delivers great pleasure.
